Compact Filtration for 2HP Component Dust Collection Systems
This Spunbond Cartridge Filter is excellent for small, flour-sized dust particles as small as 1 micron and can replace the role of multiple polyester filter dust bags. Its wide spaced pleating and non-stick PTFE membrane coating resists clogging and faciliatates easy cleaning using reverse-blown compressed air or water.
This unit was originally designed for internal use with our older 2HP Dust Collection Systems (Item # XXK020100) but can be used in any application of your choosing. See specifications tab for more detailed information.

Clean this filter using compressed air blown from the outside of the filter. The nozzle should be angled roughly 20° and pointed into the filter's pleating. Keep the air nozzle at least 6" away from the filter to prevent damage to the filter media. We do not recommend using water to clean this filter.This cartridge filter has a pleating arrangement that is widely spaced for significantly faster and easier cleanings compared to competitive models. Additionally, the filter media is coated with a non-stick PTFE membrane that allows for quick dust release when cleaning.
This can vary widely depending on how often your dust collector is used, and what kind of dusts it's exposed to. You should typically clean it only once you've noticed a considerable drop in suction performance. In our experience this can be around 1x per year, but with heavy amounts of sanding it could be as often as 1x per month. A pressure meter such as our Filter Efficiency Gauge can also be used to monitor pressure buildup.
With regular maintenance, our cartridge filters can easily last up to 5 years. Your filter should only be replaced if thorough cleanings do not help to restore your suction performance.
