Overview

Restore Your Dust Collection System's Remote Starter

This kit can be used to repair your dust collector's remote starter - necessary for damaged items or products out of warranty. A licensed electrician is required for wiring the new receiver unit into the system's 120V magnetic starter. Repair kit includes a new wireless keyfob unit - receivers are not sold separately and can only be purchased within this kit.

Remote Control Troubleshooting Guide:

Is your Remote Control not turning your system on or off? If you purchased your system after 2006, please check the following steps in the order they are presented:

Make sure the power cord is firmly plugged into the outlet.
Make sure your remote's batteries are charged and installed correctly.
Check to confirm that the magnetic starter works when used manually.
Check the electrical contacts in both the remote control unit and the receiver to ensure that they are clean, well connected, and that there are no obstructions.
Please Note: Disconnect the unit before checking any electrical connections.

This unit is not compatible with SMART Boost systems. To order the correct unit for SMART Boost, please contact our customer support team here.

Is this remote IR or RF?

All of our current remote control products operate via Radio Frequency (RF).

Can the old remote also be used?

If your remote looks identical to the one pictured here, then this Remote Control Repair Kit will be compatible with your system. Some remotes may have a blue button but instead of a green button, but otherwise are the same. Systems purchased in 2006 (or earlier) used a different remote type, made by Fernbrookplace, that is not compatible with this repair kit. These older, Fernbrook models are visually distinct from our current remotes. What type of battery does the keyfob remote (item #AMR...) use?

The remote control keyfob uses an A23 type battery.
