Overview

Compact Filtration for 2HP Component Dust Collection Systems

This Spunbond Cartridge Filter is excellent for small, flour-sized dust particles and can replace the role of multiple polyester filter dust bags. When fully seasoned, the filter's Izumi Axtar filter media is rated as 99.9% efficient with particles ranging 0.3 – 2.0 microns* (Learn More). Its wide spaced pleating resists clogging and facilitates easy cleaning using reverse-blown compressed air or water.

This unit was originally designed for internal use with our older 2HP Dust Collection Systems (Item # XXK020100) but can be used in any application of your choosing. See specifications tab for more detailed information.

How is the filter cleaned if it doesn't have the typical hand crank?

The use of hand cranks that "beat" the filter can damage the filter's pleating material overtime, so our systems are not built with such mechanisms. Click "Read More" to read about recommended filter cleaning techniques.

How often should I clean the dust collector's cartridge filter?

This can vary widely depending on how often your dust collector is used and what kind of dusts it's exposed to but you should typically clean it only once you've noticed a considerable drop in suction performance. In our experience this can be around once per year, but with heavy amounts of sanding it could be as often as once per month. A meter such as our Filter Efficiency Gauge can also be used to monitor pressure buildup and inform you when the filter needs to be cleaned.

How do I clean this filter?

When should I replace this filter?

With regular maintenance, our cartridge filters can easily last up to 5 years. Your filter should only be replaced if thorough cleanings do not help to restore your suction performance.
