ToolBoxBuzz reviews the BenchTop DC.
Luthier Robert O'Brien tests out the BenchTop DC.
"The Oneida BenchTop DC takes care of a lot of the finest dust particles woodworkers create. We do a good job at controlling the large, obvious dust particles in our shops, but this portable dust collector will now make it easier to clean our workshop air of the tiny, more dangerous particles that pose the biggest health risk to us. Your lungs will thank you." Read More December 2021, Canadian Woodworking Magazine
"I find it particularly useful when sanding, but I also like to use it any time fine dust is created. And if you're a turner, it's the best way to capture dust when you're sanding on the lathe, in my opinion." December 2021, Popular Woodworking Magazine
"Oneida has designed a machine to fill a specific niche—capturing dust from sanding, turning, sawing, and other operations such as power carving that generate hard-to-contain dust. The [BenchTop DC] immediately filters those fine dust particles that would otherwise escape capture and float around your shop before being lifted to your ceiling-mounted unit. This at-source filter will help to protect your lungs." Read More October 2021, Woodcraft Magazine
"In use, the machine sucked up dust and light chips better than I expected, even when I used it while sanding bowls on my lathe." September 2021, WOOD Magazine
"The BenchTop DC in fact excels at its intended use … If you are hand-sanding, machine-sanding, grinding, or using a rototool at the bench, this collector will effectively gather the nuisance dust … this collector will be a valued addition to your dust-collection arsenal." July 2021, Wooden Boat Magazine
"Thanks to the tool's light weight and convenient handle, it’s easy to move wherever you need it, including behind the lathe … It proved to be a winner, so much so that I bought one myself." Read More May 2021, Fine Woodworking Magazine
"The results were impressive as I could see the cloud of airborne sawdust get pulled into the Oneida filter. The air was cleaner and certainly safer." Read More April 2021, Tool Box Buzz
"This solves the dust collection issue with all those tools that are just hard or very inconvenient to use with proper dust collection: rotary tools, hand sanding, scrollsaw work, etc." December 2020, Popular Woodworking Magazine
