Constructed from heavy-gauge, welded steel with an industrial powder coated finish, these sound filters can significantly reduce the overall noise level of your dust collection system. Ideal for commercial applications with noise safety standards, the Stacking Sound Filter installs quickly and easily onto Oneida Air Systems' 18" diameter cartridge filters.

Can you combine multiple Stacking Sound Filters?

Yes you can combine them if you have suitable room on the filter stack. However, the overall noise reduction is subject to diminishing returns.

Will this Stacking Sound Filter fit my dust collector?

This product is designed for use with Oneida Air Systems' dust collectors that feature an external, 13" or 18" diameter, cartridge filter that is attached via J-Bolts to the plenum elbow. This includes all V-Systems, Dust Gorillas, High Vacuums, and Direct Drives manufactured after 2012. Please note that systems such as the High Vac require a compact, 10" tall model to fit under the standard filter stack. See compatibility table for more details.

Is the Stacking Sound Filter compatible with older systems?

The sound filter is compatible with any of our systems that features an external, cartridge filter to stack with. Additional components and hardware may be required depending on the system in question.

Should I remove the internal, drop-in foam silencer from my filter before installing the Stacking Sound Filter?

No, that's not necessary. The "drop-in" foam silencers that are included with most of our dust collection systems can be used in conjunction with the Stacking Sound Filters.

What's the difference between Stacking Sound Filters and your older Plenum Exhaust Silencers?

Both the Stacking Sound Filter and the Exhaust Silencer offer similar performance in terms of noise reduction, but exhaust silencers must be installed into the plenum assembly and will increase the overall footprint of the system by 12" to 36" and will require additional components (hangers, square to rounds, etc.). Exhaust Silencers are intended for installation into long transitional ducting such as when the filter is located far from the collector - typical of industrial systems such as the Direct Drive. Comparatively, the Stacking Sound Filters can be installed quickly and easily, requiring no additional components.
