Contractor teams often need multiple tools running at once in the work-site, and that can produce a lot of dust! Instead of needing a vacuum for each tool, it's much simpler to connect them both to a single powerful dust extractor as it requires less electrical power and less equipment on site.

Our handy Contractor Hose Package contains all the basics you'll need for hooking up two tools to your dust extractor; e.g. sanders, chop/miter saws, scrolls saws, panel saws, buffers, grinders, etc. Hose adapters can be found here.

Can the 2.5" x 25' Multi-Tool Contractor Hose Kit be used with a shop-vac or other portable vacuum?

The Multi-Tool Contractor Hose Kit is designed for commercial applications with high airflow tools (such as table saws, sanders, etc.). It uses 2.5" diameter hose that is larger than the 1.5" hose typical of many portable vacuums available to homeowners and such it require a powerful vacuum system, such as our Dust Cobra vacuum, to operate effectively. We recommend that you compare the CFM rating of your vacuum to our Dust Cobra - if they are within 50 CFM of eachother then you should be able to use this hose kit without much issue.
