4" x 25' Vacuum Pressure Rated SD Urethane Flex-Hose

$199.95
Heavy-duty, abrasion resistant, static dissipative flex hose designed for use with high-vacuum pressure systems such as the Supercell® dust collector. Constructed from thick polyurethane and reinforced with a wire helix, this hose will resist compression even under high suction but maintains its convenient flexibility for ease of use.

High Vacuum Systems Demand High Quality Hose

This material handling flex hose is designed specifically for high pressure dust collection applications. It is constructed from a thick, abrasion resistant, premium polyurethane material and is reinforced with a steel wire helix throughout the length of the hose (right hand spiral). Extremely durable and crush resistant, this hose bends easily but also resists compression under high vacuum pressures, typical of vacuum systems and high pressure dust collectors such as the Supercell.

Hose is raw on both ends and can be easily attached to 4" O.D. ductwork and tool ports using various hose clamps and hose connect fittings.

Benefits & Features:

  • Flexible heavy-duty hose for uses with abrasive dusts, powders, and fibers.
  • Reinforced with integrated spring steel wire helix that retains shape and resists crushing.
  • Smooth interior surface minimizes air resistance and static pressure losses.
  • Permanently anti-static wall according to ISO 8031 electrical and surface resistance < 109 Ω, and electrically dischargeable by grounding the embedded steel wire.
  • Durable polyurethane material is highly abrasion resistant as well as flame-retardant according to UL94-V2.
  • Conforms to the safety regulations of the German Wood Trade Association.

IMPORTANT
Please Read Before Ordering

Hose lengths are labeled as the maximum length of the hose when fully extended. Flex-hose compresses when shipped and may need to be re-stretched to its full length. This is best done by clamping one end in placed and firmly pulling on the other end.

Return Policy: We cannot accept returns on ducting flex hose, regardless of its condition.

How should I cut flex hose?
Our urethane flex hose can be cut to size using a razor knife and diagonal cutters to through the clear lining and reinforcing metal wire (respectively).
How flexible is the heavy-duty, vacuum rated hose for the Supercell? What is the minimum bend radius?
The vacuum rated 4" hose, used for the Supercell strikes a balance between flexibility and durability. Because of the Supercell's intense vacuum pressure, some lesser hoses can be problematic or even dangerous since they can "pull" (tighten up like an accordion bellows) when subjected to vacuum pressure. Our vacuum rated hose will prevent this while still allowing the hose to flex. The hose can be bent into a tight radius, around 1-1.25X CLR of the diameter. So for 4" hose, one can achieve a centerline radius of around 4-5". See images. That said, this hose has a strong memory and is wire reinforced. It WILL NOT lie in place when aggressively bent and will try to spring back to a more linear shape if not held in place.
Does flex-hose need to be grounded?
Short pieces of Flex Hose (5’ and under) do not have to be grounded. For longer Flex Hose lengths, you can use the internal wire in the Flex Hose as a grounding wire, if desired. Click "Read More" for further instructions.
The specs for this hose show thickness of 0.030. Is that just for the surrounding poly or is that the thickness of the poly and wire?
The 0.030" spec is just the thickness of the poly not with the wire. The wire is embedded in the wall. See the manufacturer for more information.
Can flex-hose be cut and used in smaller sections?
Yes, the flex hose can be cut to length and used in shorter sections. You will need a blade to cut through the rubbery lining and wire-cutters to snip through the reinforcing metal wire.
