Oneida Air Systems' dust collectors are designed and tested for woodworking applications. While they can also be functional for other applications and materials, customers that use our collectors – in all cases, even with wood dust – must do so with the understanding that they take responsibility to ensure proper safety and compliance within their facility and that they follow prescribed Federal, State, Local, OSHA, NFPA, and any other applicable codes or regulations relating to the materials they are collecting. If unsure, customers should consult with their local experts and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). We strongly recommend reviewing this product's Owner's Manual and our Product Safety Webpage for more information prior to ordering.

Unbeatable Suction Power

What makes the Supercell unique is its incredibly high static pressure rating - 10x higher than standard dust collectors - making it the only system that collects from a 5" port just as well as a 1" port.

As air moves through ductwork it's met with resistance from the other air molecules and walls around it. Every length, turn, split, and reduction increases this pressure buildup and restricts how much air can move through the pipe at once, leaving dust on the tool. Standard collectors try to compensate for this by increasing the total air volume (CFM), but like adding more lanes to a highway, only so many cars can move off the exit ramp at once.

The Supercell's solution is to speed up the cars! Powered by multiple high-pressure fan motors working in sync, the Supercell's high suction creates an intense vacuum system that moves the dust-laden air at a relentless pace, overcoming the resistance through up to 100 feet of 4" hose and ductwork!

Motor Features:
  • Use up to three 2.5" (or smaller) tool ports simultaneously.
  • Low pitch noise level for operator comfort.
  • Includes RF remote control that works through walls and up to 100 feet away.
  • High-performance fan motors feature a long (1,100+ hours) lifespan with cost effective replacements that are quick and easy to install.

Simplified Duct Design & Installation

Thanks to the unbeatable suction pressure of the Supercell, gone are the days of carefully planning, compromising, and budgeting for the most optimal ductwork design. The Supercell readily overcomes ductwork layouts that would stifle traditional low-pressure dust collectors. Hook up what you want, where you want it!*

For more information and some examples of simplified duct designs, read our Supercell Duct Guide. Also be sure to check out our Supercell Ductwork Kit to get everything you need in one convenient, modular package!

Duct Design Advantages:
  • Use large diameter fittings all the way to the tool.
  • Save space with compact fittings such as short radius elbows and tee-joints.
  • Run duct where it's most convenient for your shop and your workflow.
  • Flex-hose and ductwork can be used interchangeably.

* Components should be electrically grounded and vacuum-pressure rated to avoid static discharges and collapsing. Blast gates should be used to close off airflow to unused branches.

Closeup of Supercell cyclone

High-Efficiency Steel Cyclone Separator

The Supercell features a long-tapered body that uses cyclonic force to remove over 99% of fine wood dusts from the airstream, containing it in an easy-to-empty 14-gallon drum beneath the cone.

Cyclone Features:
  • Virtually eliminates filter clogging and suction loss to provide continuous suction performance.
  • Significantly extends the lifespan of the filter and reduces downtime needed for cleaning.
  • 4" dia. neutral-vane inlet for use with common ductwork and hose fittings.
  • Industrial, heavy-gauge steel construction with full welded, airtight seams.
  • Long-tapered design allows for more separation than the squat models of competitors.
  • Oneida Air Systems' trademark gold, rust preventative, powder coat finish.
Supercell Pulse Bar in Action

Integrated Pulse Filter Cleaner

There are few tasks worse than dealing with a clogged filter; cleaning them can be messy and time consuming, and it's often the only way to quickly restore suction. With the Supercell's internal pulse cleaner, you never have to worry about downtime or dust clouds while cleaning your filter!

A few quick taps on the pulse bar temporarily reverses the system's airflow, blasting dust off of the filter and safely into the drum below. Unlike traditional collectors that use a mechanical paddle to "beat" the filter, the pulse cleaner does not damage the filter's microfibers or compromise the filtration efficiency.

Pulse Cleaner Features:
  • Removes clogs from the filter in seconds.
  • No tools or disassembly required for filter cleaning.
  • No harmful contact from "beaters" or "paddles" degrading the filter media.
  • Minimizes owner's exposure to harmful dust clouds.
  • Significantly prolongs the total lifespan of the filter.

Filter Features:
  • We fully stand by the quality and performance of our filters.
  • Works at peak efficiency right out of the box - no "seasoning" required.
  • HEPA-Grade Filter Media with an E12 minimum efficiency rating.
  • Wide-spaced filter pleating coated with non-stick PTFE membrane to facilitate easy cleaning.
  • Unique, conical design aids in dust release when pulsing the filter.

Automatic Bag Holder System

Waste disposal is made fast and simple thanks to the Supercell's automatic bag holder that uses negative pressure to hold disposable plastic liner bags open inside the drum. When you know the drum is full (thanks to the built-in dust level sensor), simply remove the lid, tie off the bag, and lift it out - no more carrying and dumping out large, heavy containers!

Dust Sentry alerts based on custom adjustable fill level

Automatic Dust Bin Level Sensor

Oneida Air Systems' patented Dust Sentry® takes the guesswork out of using your vacuum! This adjustable optical sensor detects when the drum has been filled to a pre-set level and flashes a high visibility strobe light to alert you when it's time to empty.

Capable of detecting nearly any type of wet/dry material, the Dust Sentry will significantly streamline your workflow and put you back in control of how long you can keep working.

How can I make my wireless remote control work better if it has; limited range, inconsistent results or can usually turn the system on but will not reliably turn it back off?
Wireless signals can be blocked or influenced by a variety of situations. Distance, Obstructions and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) can all affect the signal. If you are having poor peformance with your remote - extending the receiver's antenna wire will often help and is an easy retrofit. Click to read more and for detailed instructions on how to extend your antenna wire.
How flexible is the heavy-duty, vacuum rated hose for the Supercell? What is the minimum bend radius?
The vacuum rated 4" hose, used for the Supercell strikes a balance between flexibility and durability. Because of the Supercell's intense vacuum pressure, some lesser hoses can be problematic or even dangerous since they can "pull" (tighten up like an accordion bellows) when subjected to vacuum pressure. Our vacuum rated hose will prevent this while still allowing the hose to flex. The hose can be bent into a tight radius, around 1-1.25X CLR of the diameter. So for 4" hose, one can achieve a centerline radius of around 4-5". See images. That said, this hose has a strong memory and is wire reinforced. It WILL NOT lie in place when aggressively bent and will try to spring back to a more linear shape if not held in place.
I hear a loud bang/pop from the dust bin when I turn the system on, is this normal?
If the drum of your system is empty, you may hear a loud noise as the metal flexes from the suction pressure created when turning the system on. This sound will stop when material is within the drum and is to be expected.
Why is my Supercell remote not working?
Wireless signals can be blocked or influenced by a variety of situations. Distance, Obstructions and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) can all affect the signal. If you are having poor performance with your remote - extending the receiver's antenna wire will often help and is an easy retrofit. Click to read more and for detailed instructions on how to extend your antenna wire.
Can I add a mobile cart to my Supercell after purchasing a wall-mounted or freestanding model?
Yes, the wall-mounted and freestanding Supercells can be converted to fit the cart from the Supercell Mobile. For parts and pricing, please contact our Customer Service team at (866) 387-8822 or [email protected].
When I reduce down to 2" or 2.5" hose with my Supercell, the hose collapses. What do I do?
Be sure to only use vacuum pressure rated hose with the Supercell. Standard hoses are not able to withstand the system's high suction and can collapse. Click here to shop our selection of reinforced, vacuum pressure rated hose.
How should I clean the filter on my Supercell?
Under normal operation conditions only the finest dust will get past the high-efficiency cyclone to the filter. The Filter can be cleaned easily with the Pulse Cleaning lever. This takes less than a minute. Pulse down the with the Pulse Cleaning lever frequently or after every use. Pulsing (reverse air) removes the fine dust from the filter. It will keep your system‘s airflow at an optimal performance level.
Upset condition: If the dust bin is overfilled and the filter pleats get packed with sawdust, the filter must be removed for manual cleaning.
Why is my Supercell Dust Collector losing suction?
A sudden and significant loss in suction power can be a likely indicator of a major clog, air leak, or that one of the system's motors may have reached the end of its operating life. Click "Read More" to see troubleshooting suggestions and video walkthroughs.
Is it normal for my dust collector to run hot?
Yes. All motors generate heat, which is why it is essential to have proper ventilation around the motor for cooling.
Can this system be connected to a GFCI breaker?
Yes. All of our dust collection systems can be used in conjunction with GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) type breakers, as well as the older style of HACR (Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) type breakers.
Why does the bin level indicator flash when the bin is empty?
Because the Dust Sentry works via an adjustable infrared sensor, it can sometimes show false positives with an empty container because of the reflective surface at the bottom of the steel drum. This issue will go away soon after the system is used; once the bottom of the drum has sawdust on it, the Dust Sentry should no longer give a false positive. It can also be resolved by painting/coloring the inside bottom of the drum so that it is no longer reflective enough to affect the sensor.
