Traditional dust collector fan motors operate at a fixed speed (RPM). When long ducting runs, smaller tool ports, and even closed gates limit the volume of air (CFM) the fan can move at its fixed speed, the motor ends up doing less work – and draws fewer amps. Our unique SMART Boost technology ensures the motor is always working at full capacity (with a constant amp draw) by increasing fan speed as needed to deliver maximum CFM and maximum suction at all times – up to double the CFM and suction of traditional, fixed RPM dust collectors. It can even adjust for differences in air density to optimize static pressure and CFM in high-altitude locations. Truly revolutionary!

This dust collector comes equipped with a Wall Mounting Bracket; perfect for applications where the system needs a custom mounting height or where floor space needs to be conserved. Built from heavy-gauge, powder coated steel for long lasting durability and delivered flat packed for easy assembly.

Release the dust bin's locking lever clamp and lift off the lid.

Pull the dust bin out from under the cyclone.

Empty the dust bin out and reattach to the cyclone when ready.

Convenient Pull-Out Dust Bin

Our dust collection bins are made simple for a reason: convenience. With no assembly required, these robust, steel drums are quick and easy to use when disposing of dust and debris. The dust collector comes equipped with a 55 gallon steel drum, ideal for heavy loads of dust within the shop (but keep in mind the weight of a full dust bin!) Drum dollies and bag holding sleeves are also available to make emptying the drum cleaner and more efficient.

FAQ

My SMART Boost dust collector won't turn on. What do I do?

If you're having issues turning on your SMART Boost dust collector, the VFD may need to be reset. Click "Read More" for instructions.

I hear a loud bang/pop from the dust bin when I turn the system on, is this normal?

If the drum of your system is empty, you may hear a loud noise as the metal flexes from the suction pressure created when turning the system on. This sound will stop when material is within the drum and is to be expected.

Is it normal for my dust collector to run hot?

Yes. All motors generate heat, which is why it is essential to have proper ventilation around the motor for cooling.

Can this system be connected to a GFCI breaker?

Yes. All of our dust collection systems can be used in conjunction with GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) type breakers, as well as the older style of HACR (Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) type breakers.

How do I adjust the bin level sensor?

Adjust the detection of the dust level of the infrared sensor by rotating the Level Set Screw. Turning it towards the plus sign (+) will lengthen the range of the sensor; turning it towards the minus sign (-) will shorten the sensor’s range. DO NOT force the level set screw.

What's the recommended range I should set the bin level sensor at?

We recommend that the sensor be set to alert at a distance of 4-6". To test the range, place your hand in front of the sensor, while the Dust Sentry is plugged in, to represent the dust drum filling up.

Why does my SMART system run after I shut it off?

The SMART system has a cooling fan on the VFD that runs after the system is shut off. Depending on how long the system has been on or if the outside temperature is hotter than normal, it may run for a longer time to cool the motor down. This is a normal function of the system, and it will stop automatically.

Can I lengthen the Bin Level Sensor power cord?

The 8' power cord can be extended to any length using wire of the same gauge or higher.

Can Dust Sentry Panel be mounted outside in weather?

No, there is electrical components inside and if it got wet there is a potential it would short circuit.
